Grant History

The Onota Foundation was founded by Sara Lough Hiner who passed away in 2016. She believed strongly in the mission of the foundation and its causes.

The first grant by the foundation was made in 2001. To date the foundation has made grants to organizations such as the Randall Davey Audubon Center, Garth Newel Music Center, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine, Santa Fe Farmer's Market Institute, and many others.
